Motorized Pallet Truck
A Motorized Pallet Truck often goes by other names such as: Walkie or Walkie-Rider. These pieces of machinery are basically a motorized version of a pallet jack. They are available in both "Walkie" models and "Rider" versions.
The walkie model as the name implies, is made to enable the operator to walk along the machinery as they pick up and move loads. The operator stands on a small platform on the Rider model. The rider models are ideal for frequent transporting of loads over extended distances within warehouses and manufacturing applications. They are extremely fast and maneuverable.
It is essential to remember that there is no safety cage on this model and hence, it is not recommended to move unstable or tall loads with these machinery. A rider can be the right answer if you are searching for a cheap method for moving loads from point A to point B. If though, you must transport heavy loads short distances, and prefer to utilize a more employee-friendly unit instead of a pallet jack, the walkie model can be the right alternative.
Order Selector
The order selector or order picker is a piece machine designed specially for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks connected to a platform in the Man-up design. This particular platform elevates both the operator and the load in order to facilitate manual unloading and loading from racking areas.
Usually, the order selector is a very narrow aisle vehicle which could function in smaller aisles. They are very handy pieces of machine during cycle counting situations as well as during physical inventories. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, though models which range in the 20 to 30 foot range are much more popular.
