What is the Difference between Cushion Tire and Pneumatic Tire?

Determining the distinction between pneumatic tire forklifts and cushion tire forklifts is amongst the most common questions regarding this type of machinery. Every type of tire is specifically ideal for different requirements.

Pneumatic Tires have air in them, similar to vehicle tires. These types of tires are great for indoor usage but they are more effective on gravel and uneven surfaces and in outdoor "yard" applications.

Cushion tires are designed as a solid industrial tire which is used mainly for indoor operation. These tires are able to be used outdoors on just asphalt surfaces. If you do drive cushion tires outside, there is an option to get traction tires on the front of the equipment. These are known as the drive tires. The steer tires or the back tires are specifically made for steering. Traction tires located on the forklift's rear would simply wear out faster. Thus, if you do need to work outside, having traction on the front and the smooth tires on the rear will be the safest and most economical way to operate.

What is the difference between Solid Pneumatic and Air Pneumatic tires?

It could be quite difficult when trying to know the main distinction between the two kinds of tires. They will operate well in both in gravel and asphalt situations. The main distinction between the two types of tires is solid pneumatics are made of solid rubber. This means you cannot puncture, pop or gouge them as they are strong. These types of tires are more expensive than air pneumatic tires because they are made up of way more rubber. These tires are best suited for places such as lumber yards and scrap yards where there might be lots of sharp things and debris on the ground.

The pneumatic tire can be punctured accidentally. You can get flat tires from them when this happens. Before operating a forklift with air pneumatic tires, be sure that the yard is free of sharp metals, nails and scrap debris and by inspecting your work area. In most applications, regular air pneumatic tires function really great.
