High Impact Forklift Safety
Statistics from the OSHA or Occupational Safety and Health Administration show that nearly all of the lift truck mishaps come from the failure of individuals following proper safety features. Anybody from the operators, co-employees and pedestrians should be aware and make sure these situations are prevented. Thankfully, there are numerous ways to solve these issues.

Inspection
High impact forklifts are tough and durable machinery, able to to handle many knocks during its shift, though it is not an indestructible machinery. At the start of each shift, the operator must inspect the equipment's cleanliness and usability. If something out of the ordinary must happen, the operator should immediately alert their supervisor. Daily inspections should be completed at the end or beginning of each shift in order to make certain that the forklift is in optimum running condition.

Training
Forklift training is a required and imperative measure that has to be undertaken for the safety of the operator and their fellow co-workers. Training is provided so as to teach the forklift workers how to respond to emergency situations, how to deal with stability problems and also how to correctly check the equipment. A lot of businesses offer lift truck training. Upon successfully finishing the program, certification and a license would be provided as proof of passing the training.

Fatigue
A lift truck is a big piece of operating machine. It should never be used when the driver is unfocused or very tired. Accidents occurring from fatigue are unfortunately a common experience. These errors could be easily avoided if the worker simply admits that they could not operate the lift truck when they are really feeling that way.

In the 1990's, Kalmar made the biggest lift trucks on the market today. These types of machines were rated with a remarkable 90-tonne capacity. Kalmar actually earned a place in the Guinness Book of Records. Nowadays, there are a variety of lift truck manufacturers designing and building large lift trucks.

Some of the big manufacturers on the market today comprise: Fantuzzi within Italy, Taylor and Hyster within the United States, Paus from Germany, Svetruck in Sweden, SMV Konecranes within Sweden, Linde from Germany, Toyota from Japan, Hoist, Paling, Lowry and Rigger Xtreme from Surprise, Omega, Australia, Omega Lift within Surprise and Royal Tractor within the United States. Other large manufacturers include: Komatsu, Mitsubishi and TCM within Japan, Hubtex from Germany, ZV from Italy, Meclift within Finland, Daewoo within Korea and Dalian Forklift within China.
