Genie telescopic S-booms have working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Compared with other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a much greater range of horizontal reach. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access confined places during construction and industrial jobs. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great traction and drive speed. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools. 360° continuous rotating turntables provide easy, quick positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 unit has a telescoping jib, known as the Jib-Extend, which goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks which were unreachable by conventional jibs before. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 model gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This specific feature enables up and over reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system that allows for valuable time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be fully raised simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing both productivity and effectiveness.
