CareLift Equipment has been designing and building excellent rough terrain forklifts ever since the year 1962. Every day the company strives to deliver value and help all their customers reach their objectives since they know the bottom line is performance and reliability.
There are 2 general types of boom lifts. These units are articulated boom lifts and straight boom lifts. Often, these models are powered hydraulically. Most often straight booms are the ideal choice for tasks that need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the equipment is capable of rotating 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom could be raised vertically to below horizontal. Because the operator can maneuver and steer the vehicle while the boom is fully extended, it is a versatile machinery. These units come in 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive, as well as propane, gas or diesel configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are utilized for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas that were otherwise unaccessible. These lift units perform tasks which straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are almost identical to the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to move easily around any objects within the work site.
To be able to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is completely extended, some heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Correct training is necessary before utilizing boom lifts so as to ensure the jobsite, the operator and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable tasks which used to require a lot more man power to be completed in a much shorter time period. These machines have changed the material handling business and have really increased production.
