Articulating Booms - Electric and Bi-Energy
Terex offers Genie DC and Bi-Energy machines that are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. For instance, in industrial environments where the equipment must travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the versatility and benefits of a diesel powered generator with a 48 Volt DC machine.
Some of the key characteristics offered by this combination consist of up, over and out positioning capabilities for complete versatility. Additionally, the zero tail-swing provided by most units, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.
The drive and proportional controls provide the equipment with precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. For emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive environments, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models available to function with an additional working range for specific jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is great for industrial applications and outdoor construction applications. This particular model offers engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine out, over and up positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach provided by this type is second to none in the market.
The diesel engines with articulating booms provide zero tail-swing on the majority of models and have a tight turning radius. These machines are great for maneuvering in confined locations. Additionally, they provide grade and terrain maneuverability, utmost power and exceptional torque. The diesel engines are quiet overall also. Most models have full time drive positive drive traction system and active oscillating axle to provide great flexibility on uneven and rough surfaces.
The 4 or 2 wheel drive models, offer high ground clearance and the rough terrain features that make these desirable to add to any fleet. The jib boom types are available and provide added range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models too.
